Press the button, look through the eye piece and point the telescope where you are told. The museum itself is free and provides an interesting history of the university and its traditions. The telescope is situated on the first floor.

If you want to have the best views of Edinburgh then a visit to Edinburgh castle is a must. There are of course other things to do at the castle such as visiting the crown jewels but the view is amazing and what we enjoyed the most.
