This local bar was made famous in Ian Rankin’s Rebus novels. 

  
It’s not to everyone’s taste but is gladly firmly off the tourist trail. 

We didn’t feel we could take too many photos ourselves. 

There are a few photographs in the back room giving a nod to Insprctor rebus. 

Ian Rankin we were told actually drinks in the pub now  and in the past Sean Connery was a regular.
