The award-winning comedian, author, broadcaster and podcast host is returning to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer with not one but two shows. Whether you’re a long-time fan or discovering him for the first time, here are five reasons to make room in your Fringe schedule.

Pierre’s new show, Okay, One More Then Bedtime, promises the clever observations, unexpected tangents and brilliantly crafted punchlines that have made him one of the most respected comics on the circuit.

2. Fans Can Finally Hear Their Favourite Routines Again

Pierre’s star continues to rise.
His BBC Radio 4 series Why in the Name of Pierre Novellie? proved such a success that it was renewed for a second series before the first had even finished airing. He’s also recently launched Audible UK’s new gameshow Booksmart and published his acclaimed book Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? A Comedian’s Guide to Autism.

Reviewers have run out of ways to say how funny Pierre Novellie is.
The Guardian called him a “master of traditional stand-up”, while The Times praised his “ingenious routines”. Metro awarded him five stars for comedy that is “packed full of belly laughs”, and The Scotsman described spending an hour in his company as a privilege.
Even more impressively, his 2024 Fringe show was named among the best-reviewed shows at the festival, marking the fourth time he has achieved the feat.
5. He Consistently Sells Out Shows
Pierre’s audiences continue to grow with every tour.
His previous show, Must We?, sold out its entire Edinburgh Fringe run before going on to enjoy a successful London season at Soho Theatre. His latest UK and Ireland tour became his biggest yet, selling twice as many tickets as the previous one and adding extra dates due to overwhelming demand.
