Birmingham Royal Ballet’s enchanting retelling of an 18th century fairy tale is a wonderful introduction to ballet for young audiences, already familiar with the story of The Beauty and the Beast, thanks to Walt Disney. A cruel Prince, cursed to spend the rest of his life living in a fantastical castle with the animals he callously hunted, finds salvation in the heart of a beautiful girl.
