From May 3rd, The Dorchester’s famous façade will become a canvas for an immersive augmented reality experience. By scanning a QR code located on the hotel’s forecourt, visitors will activate a bespoke Instagram filter that animates the façade with the growth of The Dorchester Rose vines. These vines will blossom into beautiful pale pink flowers, created by designer florist Philip Hammond in collaboration with Meijer Roses of Holland. This seven-year project culminates in a display that breathes life and colour into the hotel’s exterior, making it a must-see spectacle.
2. The Dorchester Garden with Wild Idol
This summer also heralds the launch of The Dorchester Garden in collaboration with Wild Idol, the premium alcohol-free sparkling brand. Situated on the edge of Hyde Park, the garden is set to be a pink paradise complete with pretty parasols and a Wild Idol spritz stand, perfect for those warm summer days. Visitors can enjoy a seasonal adaptation of afternoon tea, featuring the Wild Idol Sgroppino with elderflower sorbet, and delicious pastries inspired by the tasting notes of Wild Idol.

Continuing its tradition, The Promenade at The Dorchester will participate in the Chelsea Flower Show for the sixth year, offering an exquisite version of the hotel’s renowned afternoon tea. Available during the show from May 21-25, and at The Dorchester starting May 20, this special afternoon tea includes seasonal interpretations of traditional finger sandwiches, summer pastries, and a plant-based version for those preferring vegan options.
4. Exclusive Dorchester Spa Candle
In an innovative twist, The Dorchester will introduce a unique spa candle developed in partnership with the organic Scottish skincare brand, ishga. This bespoke candle, available for purchase online and at the hotel, incorporates waste from The Dorchester’s signature rose. It combines rose absolute, rose geranium, and frankincense to create an uplifting fragrance that encapsulates the hotel’s floral celebration in a sustainably-minded product.
