The Lee Valley Ice Centre is not just a sporting facility but also a community hub designed to promote social cohesion and well-being. The venue has committed to a range of community programs and initiatives, including a Targeted Crime Prevention Program, Mental Health and Wellbeing Program, Biodiversity Awareness Education Program, and an Employment and Apprenticeship Scheme. The London Borough of Waltham Forest has pledged £1 million in support of these programs, which will run for ten years. Additionally, a Community Engagement Programme will provide free access to the center for community groups and schools, benefiting 68,000 people over the next decade.
