5. London’s first maker festival kicks off in Victoria Park #makemore #London #festival

A brand-new festival celebrating the maker movement has kicked off In London’s Victoria Park.

MAKEMORE combines hands on workshops and demonstrations with live music, stand-up comedy and a series of insightful talks, bringing together more than 100 independent artists, crafters, cooks and musicians.

The festival continues throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.

For experienced creatives and those who just want to get stuck in, this is an opportunity for all to get hands-on experience and explore a wide range of unique activities, including bushcraft with The Exploration Society, DIY street art with Nathan Bowen, bee keeping with Bermondsey Street Bees, and clay modelling with the creators of Wallace and Gromit, Aardman Animations.

MAKEMORE has also partnered with the culinary talents of award-winning food writer, Charlotte Pike, River Cottage’s Steven Lamb and Masterchef winner Dhruv Baker for a mouth-watering array of food classes and demonstrations.

The festival is topped off with a lively mix of comedy, cabaret, puppetry and immersive theatre, supported by music from Nest Collective and Continental Drifts.

We can’t wait for you to come and experience the Festival for Makers and Doers!
