ESCAPE THE CITY FOR TOP RACING AND STREET FOOD MARKET AT ASCOT RACECOURSE

Ascot Racecourse is offering the perfect city escape with its May Meeting on Friday 8thand Saturday 9th May.  Friday 8th May is the only evening meeting in Ascot’s annual calendar of 26 racedays, whilst Saturday’s main feature race is the prestigious £102,000 Totepool Victoria Cup. 

The theme of the weekend is South East Asia and there will be a Street Food Market and Bollywood dancers. Delights include Indian slow-cooked lamb, grilled chicken masala served with freshly baked naan bread, Afghani chickpea stew and Bamyan slow-marinated lamb served with organic leavened flatbread.

The first race on Friday evening commences at 5:35pm followed by five more races. On Saturday, the racing takes place throughout the afternoon with another six top quality races. 

Ascot has a huge range of restaurants, bars and other concessions situated throughout the course, catering for an array of different food and drink options, at different price points. Tickets for the May meeting can be purchased in advance. Prices for the Friday start from just £13 for Grandstand tickets and £18 for Premier tickets with gates opening at 3pm and the first race at 5.35pm. Tickets on the day will be £15 for Grandstand and £20 for Premier. On the Saturday, Grandstand tickets booked in advance will cost just £21 with Premier tickets on sale for £30. Ticket prices on the day will be £25 for Grandstand and £35 for Premier, so book in advance and take advantage of the great savings available to you. Gates open at 11am and the first race is at 2pm

Accompanied children under 18 years of age gain free entry at all Ascot meetings free and with the world’s most famous racecourse also being one of the most child friendly racecourses in the UK, it is a great family day out that caters for all ages.
