London Comedy | 16 – 21 November 2026
After a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe, Bella Hull brings her fourth stand-up show, Mad Cow Disease, to Soho Theatre. Here are five reasons to catch her.
1. A star on the rise
This year, Bella became the first Gen Z comedian to appear on Have I Got News For You and joined the writing team on SNL UK. She was also shortlisted for British Comedy Guide’s Next Big Thing Award and Chortle’s Best Show Award.
2. Rave reviews
The Guardian, Time Out and The Scotsman all gave the show four stars, and The New York Times named it a top Fringe pick. The Scotsman says she was born to do this.
3. A decade in dark basements
Ten years after her first gig, Bella looks back on a decade of telling jokes in dark basements. Was it worth it? What other lives could she have led? And how does she still not have a driving licence?
4. Surreal and very funny
Part dissociative fantasy, part love letter to stand-up, it’s a surreal hour from perhaps the only woman who can romanticise a dual carriageway. Time Out called it extremely funny.
5. Catch her before she’s huge
You may have seen her on Live at the Apollo, QI or Would I Lie to You?. A week in Soho Theatre’s intimate Downstairs space is a great chance to see her up close before the venues get bigger.
