Music | UK tour, 20 October – 13 December 2026
Two era-defining punk and post-punk bands are joining forces. Skids and Theatre of Hate are co-headlining a mammoth 32-date UK tour this autumn. Here are five things to know.
1. Into the Valley, live
Formed in Dunfermline in 1977, Skids were championed by John Peel and supported The Clash. Expect classics like “Into the Valley”, “The Saints Are Coming” and “Masquerade”, led by Richard Jobson.
2. Theatre of Hate’s post-punk anthems
Kirk Brandon’s Theatre of Hate topped the indie charts in 1980, and their Mick Jones-produced album Westworld held the number one spot for 21 weeks. “Do You Believe in the Westworld?” is still an anthem today.
3. Head to head
Both bands will dig deep into their catalogues as they go head to head across England, Scotland and Wales. As Richard Jobson puts it, it’s going to be a cracking night out.
4. A London date at The Dome
The London show is on Saturday 5 December at The Dome in Tufnell Park. Nearby dates include Lewes (28 October), Hitchin (11 November) and Worthing (6 December).
5. A follow-up to a hit 2024 tour
It’s not the first time they’ve teamed up. Skids shared stages with Kirk Brandon’s Spear of Destiny in 2024 on a hugely successful tour, so expect this one to be popular too.
