Christmas 2026 | Monday 28 December, Allianz Stadium, Twickenham
Looking for something to do in that strange week between Christmas and New Year? Harlequins’ Big Game 18 returns to Twickenham on 28 December, and legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold has just been announced as the headline act. Here are five reasons to book.
1. A rugby double-header
Harlequins host Northampton Saints in the Gallagher PREM and Loughborough Lightning in the Premiership Women’s Rugby, so you get two big matches in one day at the Home of England Rugby.
2. Paul Oakenfold live
Twice named the world’s best DJ by DJ Mag, Oakenfold pioneered trance with his Perfecto label and has remixed Madonna, U2 and Beyoncé. Expect anthems like “Ready Steady Go” and “Starry Eyed Surprise” in his pre-match set.
3. A huge festive atmosphere
More than 80,000 fans are expected, making it the biggest annual club rugby fixture in the calendar. Oakenfold says playing to that crowd in his home city is going to be magical.
4. Fun for the whole family
Now in its 18th year, Big Game has grown into a festival of rugby, music and entertainment for all ages. It’s a great post-Christmas day out, even if you’re not a die-hard rugby fan.
5. Good-value tickets
Adult tickets start at £40 and under-18s from £25, and they’re on general sale now. They also make a great Christmas present.
