Bored of turkey and all the trimmings? UBA, the signature restaurant at Hart Shoreditch, has launched a festive menu with a Pan-Asian twist. Here are five reasons to book your Christmas get-together there.
1. Christmas classics, reinvented
Familiar festive flavours get an Asian makeover. Think crispy prawns with Asian cranberry sauce, chicken Wellington with Ju sauce and a clementine panna cotta to finish. It’s playful but still feels like Christmas.
2. Made for sharing
The chef’s selection is designed for sharing, with dishes like beef carpaccio with truffle and wasabi dressing and Yakiniku beef ribeye with Asian chimichurri. It’s ideal for relaxed gatherings with friends, family or colleagues.
3. A striking red and gold setting
UBA’s interiors are inspired by Asian culture and mythology, with bold red and gold decor and an impressive bar, so it already feels festive before the decorations go up.
4. Great for work parties
The private dining room seats up to 12, and for bigger groups the BYRD Lounge holds up to 120 standing guests, serving UBA’s Asian bites. It’s just five minutes from Old Street station.
5. Two price options
The festive menu is £65 per person, or £80 per person for a wider selection of dishes and a glass of Ca’ del Console prosecco.
