Walker’s Shortbread is heading to Brighton Beach on Monday 31 August 2026 with a free seaside pop-up celebrating its new Wee Chunkies range. From warm shortbread after a sea swim to a Scottish tradition making its way south, here are five things to know.
1. You can get free warm shortbread
Walker’s will be handing out complimentary samples of its new Wee Chunkies Chocolate & Caramel shortbread throughout the day.
2. The pop-up is right on Brighton seafront
You’ll find the Walker’s van next to the Upside Down House on Brighton Beach, so it is easy to combine with a walk along the promenade.
3. It runs all day on Bank Holiday Monday
The event takes place on Monday 31 August 2026 from 10am to 6pm.
4. It is inspired by the Scottish ‘Shivery Bite’
Walker’s is bringing a Scottish post-swim tradition to Brighton. A ‘Shivery Bite’ is a warm, sweet snack enjoyed after a cold-water dip to help warm you up again.
5. You do not need to go swimming
The free shortbread is for beachgoers and swimmers, so you can simply turn up, enjoy the seafront and pick up a warm treat.
