5 Reasons to Book Showstopper! The Kids’ Show at Soho Theatre Walthamstow This Half Term

London Family | 28 – 31 October 2026

What if your kids could create their very own musical? That’s exactly what happens at Showstopper! The Kids’ Show, which comes to Soho Theatre Walthamstow this October half term. Here are five reasons to book.

1. Children write the story

Everything is made up on the spot from audience suggestions. Kids decide where the story is set, who the characters are and what happens next, and the performers turn their ideas into a mischievous musical adventure in front of their eyes. Grown-ups, take note: they only take suggestions from children.

2. Olivier Award winners

The Showstoppers are West End favourites and won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and Family. Watching them invent songs and scenes so quickly is impressive for adults too.

3. Lots of chances to join in

This isn’t a sit-still-and-be-quiet show. There are plenty of moments for kids to shout out ideas and take part, which makes it perfect for energetic young audiences.

4. Dress up for Halloween

If you’re going on Saturday 31 October, wear your best Halloween costume. The cast will be dressing up too, so expect a suitably spooky musical.

5. Back after a hit Christmas run

The show was a hit at Soho Theatre Walthamstow last Christmas, so it’s popular. There are only four performances this half term, so book early.
