An Evening with Nicola Benedetti and Friends – UK & Ireland Tour 2024

This autumn, GRAMMY Award-winning violinist Nicola Benedetti embarks on her first solo tour in over a decade, taking in 14 venues across the UK and Ireland. Titled An Evening with Nicola Benedetti and Friends, the tour offers a deeply personal experience, blending stunning solo performances with storytelling, folk melodies, and musical camaraderie.

Joining her on stage are guitarist Plínio Fernandes and accordionist Samuele Telari, performing an intimate and eclectic mix of repertoire, including works by Paganini, Sarasate, Debussy and traditional Scottish arrangements by Brìghde Chaimbeul.

What to Expect

Expect a programme that’s both virtuosic and heartfelt. Nicola will perform Paganini’s Caprices, Wieniawski’s Polonaise, and Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasie—alongside tender arrangements like Estrellita, Beau Soir, and Ashokan Farewell. The concert also features new commissions and Celtic-inspired pieces, making it a rich, diverse experience.

This repertoire will be featured on Nicola’s upcoming album on Decca Classics, released to coincide with the tour.
