5 Things You Need to Know About Frank Skinner’s New Podcast

Following the cancellation of The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio, Frank Skinner is returning in a brand-new format. Here’s what you need to know about Frank Skinner Off The Radio, launching soon.

1. From Radio to Podcast: A Smooth Transition

After 15 years on the air, The Frank Skinner Show was cancelled earlier this year. However, fans need not worry, as Frank is returning with a twice-weekly podcast. The first episode of Frank Skinner Off The Radio will drop on Friday, 11th October 2024, with episodes arriving every Friday and Monday.

2. Familiar Faces Return

Frank won’t be going it alone—his long-time collaborators Emily Dean and Pierre Novellie will be back to co-host the podcast. Their chemistry and wit have always been a major part of the show’s success, and listeners can expect more of the same banter that made the radio show so popular.

3. An Award-Winning Show

The Frank Skinner Show was an institution on Absolute Radio, winning multiple ARIA awards and being downloaded over 100 million times. Even after its cancellation, the show was nominated for Best Comedy at the ARIAs. Now, the podcast is set to carry on that legacy, bringing Frank’s humour to his dedicated audience.

4. Same Format, New Platform

While the format remains the same—Frank discussing the news, sharing stories, and responding to listener contributions—the podcast will offer even more flexibility and accessibility. Fans will find it in the same feed as the old show, ensuring a seamless transition for those already subscribed.

5. Frank’s Classic Take on the Move

In true Frank Skinner style, he commented on the switch with his signature humour: “It’s like in those old movies when the kids get rejected by the big theatre and one of them says, ‘why don’t we do the show right here in the barn?’ I think the barn will suit us fine.” His wit is alive and well, and fans can look forward to hearing more when the podcast launches.

Frank Skinner Off The Radio will be available on all major podcast platforms from 11th October 2024. Be sure to tune in!
