Raise vital money and help support people living with cancer – Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support has launched a series of 15 fundraising challenges to raise vital money and help support people living with cancer.

Including eight marathon-length hikes, two runs and five outdoor swims, anyone is welcome to join #TeamMacmillan and take part in ‘Challenge Events 2018’. Participants are encouraged to ask loved ones for sponsorship and every penny raised will help Macmillan provide emotional, financial, medical and practical support to the growing number of people living with cancer across the UK.

The first event of the year is the Thames Path Mighty Hike (9 June) set along the beautiful banks of the capital’s iconic river. Followed by Run Regents Park (10 June) a 5km or 10km run in one of London’s most picturesque parks. The final event is Cheltenham’s All Out Swim (13 October) at Sandford Parks Lido in the charming Cotswolds countryside.

Whether a first-timer or an old-timer, hiking in memory of a loved one, or running for fitness, there are events suitable for all ages and abilities. Last year thousands of people took part and raised a fantastic £4.9 million for Macmillan.
