5 Things to Know About Ed Gamble Live, His New Prime Video Stand-Up Special

Comedy | Streaming on Prime Video from 29 October 2026

Looking for a laugh this half term? Ed Gamble, the Taskmaster champion and co-host of the hit Off Menu podcast, is back on Prime Video with his second stand-up special, Ed Gamble Live. Here are five things to know.

1. His first special in seven years

It’s Ed’s first Prime Video special since Blood Sugar in 2019, featuring the stand-up he’s been honing ever since. It was filmed at the Lowry in Salford in January 2025.

2. Some of it is gross

In Ed’s own words: “Apologies to my friends, some of it is gross.” Expect well-crafted, self-deprecating anecdotes and bursts of physical comedy. The Evening Standard gave him four stars, praising his gusto.

3. One of the busiest people in comedy

As well as Off Menu with James Acaster, Ed hosts The Traitors: Uncloaked, Taskmaster: The Podcast and panel show Unacceptable, and has written a book, Glutton. Yet stand-up remains his first love.

4. Perfect timing for Traitors fans

With Celebrity Traitors on screens and Ed hosting the Uncloaked companion show, it’s a great moment to catch his stand-up. It lands on 29 October, just in time for a cosy half-term night in.

5. See him live in 2027

After a sell-out world tour, Ed heads back out in January 2027 with his brand-new show, Fresh Hell, playing more than 60 dates across the UK and Ireland. His last tour included five nights at the Hackney Empire and a sold-out London Palladium show, so book early.

Ed Gamble Live streams on Prime Video from Thursday 29 October 2026.
