London Theatre | New cast from 23 October 2026
May the odds be ever in your favour. The Hunger Games: On Stage is entering its second year at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, and the first rehearsal photos of its new cast have just been released. Here are five things to know.
1. A new Katniss
From Friday 23 October, Elizabeth Anderson leads the show as Katniss Everdeen, with Vinnie Copeland as Peeta, Nathan Stokes as Gale and Daisy Statham as Prim.
2. Soap stars join the Capitol
Neil McDermott, known for EastEnders, plays mentor Haymitch Abernathy, while Coronation Street‘s Daniel Brocklebank takes on the flamboyant TV host Caesar Flickerman. Isabel Della-Porta plays Effie Trinket and Theo Ogundipe plays Cinna.
3. A theatre built for the show
The 1,200-seat Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre was purpose-built as a theatre in the round for this production, so the audience surrounds the arena, putting you right in the middle of the Games.
4. A top creative team
The first book was adapted by playwright Conor McPherson (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) and the show is directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 – A Ghost Story, Hangmen).
5. Last chance for the current cast
The current cast’s final performance is on 18 October, so you have a little over a week to see them. The show is now booking until 14 February 2027.
