5 Things to Know About the New Cotton Candy Grape Snack Pots at Tesco

Back-to-school snack time has a new option, with COTTON CANDY™ grape snack pots launching exclusively at Tesco this August. Sweet-tasting but still simply grapes, they are being pitched as an easy lunchbox and after-school choice for families.

1. They taste surprisingly sweet

COTTON CANDY™ grapes are known for a flavour often compared with spun sugar, vanilla and light caramel. Despite the name, there is no added sugar or artificial flavouring.

2. The flavour comes from the grape itself

The distinctive taste has been developed through traditional plant breeding rather than added flavourings. Dietitian Dr Carrie Ruxton says this is one of the things that often surprises people when they first try them.

3. They now come in a grab-and-go pot

For the first time, the grapes are available in a 125g snack pot, making them easy to add to packed lunches, take to school pick-up or bring along to football, swimming and other after-school activities.

4. They could be useful for the 3pm hunger rush

Anyone collecting children from school will recognise the immediate request for a snack. These pots offer a straightforward fruit option that still feels a little more exciting than an ordinary bunch of grapes.

5. They are exclusive to Tesco

The new pots cost £1.25 for 125g, or two for £2 with a Tesco Clubcard, and are rolling out nationwide during August 2026.

COTTON CANDY™ grapes have also picked up a 2026 International Taste Institute Brussels Superior Taste Award.
