Jo – The Little Women Musical has officially landed, and the studio cast recording is now out in the world. Here’s everything you need to know in five key points:

  1. The studio cast recording was released globally on Friday 23rd May 2025. It’s available to stream or download on platforms like Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
  2. This is a brand-new musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel. With music by Dan Redfeld and book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej, it brings a fresh cinematic sound and emotional storytelling to the tale of the March sisters.
  3. The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with a 29-piece orchestra. It was co-produced by five-time Grammy nominee and Emmy winner Nigel Wright, alongside Dan Redfeld, and features the complete show in audio form.

The cast includes an impressive mix of Broadway, West End and international talent: Laura Benanti as Marmee, Christine Ebersole as Aunt March, Julian Ovenden as Father, Christine Allado as Jo, Bob Gunton as Grandfather, Kelly Mathieson as Meg, Sophie Pollono as Amy, Eleanor Grant as Beth, Rob Houchen as Laurie, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Liam Tamne as John Brooke, Tobias Turley as Fred Vaughn, and Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardiner.
  5. Music videos are now available for several tracks, including Fly Away, My Captive Heart, Between the Earth and Sky, and Little Women. A semi-staged concert of the full production is planned for a future date in London, directed by JoAnn M. Hunter.
