LZRD LASH isn’t just a beauty brand — it’s a bold, inclusive celebration of authenticity, creativity, and courage. Founded by model and entrepreneur Zii Lizard, this UK-based, transgender-owned lash brand is known for its vegan, cruelty-free products and empowering ethos. We sat down with Zii for a quick-fire Q&A to find out what fuels her success, what challenges she’s overcome, and why your beauty story truly begins here.

1. How do you pronounce LZRD?
It’s pronounced Lizard. The name comes from my Thai tattoo — a two-tailed lizard on my back. It’s believed to bring the power of attraction, so I decided to share that energy through my brand.
2. What inspired you to start the brand?
I wanted to have my own business. Working in retail as a Transwoman was difficult at times, and my boyfriend said to me, “If you can sell one eyelash, you can probably sell 100.” So I did.
3. What’s your personal journey got to do with LZRD LASH?
Everything. My journey is about transformation — becoming the woman I am today. LZRD LASH reflects that spirit and encourages others to become who they truly want to be.
4. What’s the meaning behind the lash names?
The names are like dream states — Diva, Celebrity, Dream Boy, English Rose, Vixen. My boyfriend and I came up with loads of options and got friends and family involved in picking the final ones.
5. How long did it take to get LZRD LASH off the ground?
It took a couple of years to really get going. I started by selling lashes on TikTok, then built a website, and finally launched the new branding.
6. What was the first lash you sold?
Just one strip lash. But it gave me the confidence to keep going — and from that first sale came many more.
7. Do you still test all the lashes yourself?
Yes. Suppliers send hundreds, and I try every pair on myself — with glue on and off. It’s not easy, but it’s the only way to make sure they’re perfect.
8. What’s your favourite part of the job?
Being creative. I love making content and designing the look of the brand. It feels personal and expressive.
9. And the hardest?
Spending ages on a piece of content that doesn’t work. Some things go viral when you least expect it, and the posts you work hardest on sometimes don’t get seen. That can be tough.
10. What’s your work/life balance like?
I work full time from home. I also look after the house and our dog Monty. It’s busy, but it’s a life I love.
11. How do you make sure LZRD LASH stays ethical?
We vet all our suppliers and ask for certificates. They also sign our vegan and cruelty-free policies. On top of that, we’re independently verified by Conscious Bunny.
12. What challenges have you faced in the beauty industry?
I haven’t had many issues within the beauty world itself, but before starting the brand, I experienced unkindness while working in retail. Some people didn’t accept me for who I am, and that made things difficult. LZRD LASH became a way for me to take control and create something positive.
13. Do you get negativity online?
Yes, especially during live streams. There are occasional unkind comments, but I stay positive and don’t let them affect me. I focus on the supportive messages and the love from the community.

14. Where do you sell your products now?
Mainly in the UK, but we’ve also sold to the USA, Germany, and Ireland. I’d love to see LZRD LASH stocked in supermarkets one day.
15. What’s your dream product to launch next?
Perfume. I’d love to create a scent that captures the energy and vibe of LZRD LASH.
16. What advice do you have for other aspiring entrepreneurs?
Be strong. Be confident. Don’t give up. Ask questions, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s okay not to know everything at the start.
17. If someone wears LZRD LASH, what do you want them to feel?
Powerful. Beautiful. Transformed. I want them to feel like the best version of themselves — because your beauty story begins here.
