5 Things to Know About Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, Touring With Tom Rosenthal and Adrian Scarborough

Theatre | UK tour from 29 January 2027

What ho! The Olivier Award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense is heading out on a 2027 UK tour, with two much-loved TV faces in the lead roles. Here are five things to know.

1. Tom Rosenthal is Bertie Wooster

Tom Rosenthal, best known as Jonny in Channel 4’s Friday Night Dinner and Marcus in ITV2’s Plebs, plays the gloriously hapless Bertie Wooster. He’s also an established stand-up comedian, with stage credits at Chichester and the Royal Court.

2. Adrian Scarborough is Jeeves

Two-time Olivier winner Adrian Scarborough, Pete in Gavin & Stacey and star of The Chelsea Detective, plays Wooster’s unflappable valet. His film credits include 1917 and The King’s Speech.

3. Pure Wodehouse silliness

Written by Robert and David Goodale from the works of P.G. Wodehouse, it’s packed with mistaken identities, romantic entanglements and spectacular muddles, delivered with ingenious theatrical invention and gloriously British humour.

4. A top comedy director

It’s directed by Phillip Breen, an Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company whose credits include How the Other Half Loves at The Old Vic, so the comic timing should be in safe hands.

5. Dates near London and in Surrey

The tour opens at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on 29 January, with local stops at Richmond Theatre (2–6 March) and Woking‘s New Victoria Theatre (23–27 March). It also visits Brighton, Milton Keynes, Manchester, Birmingham and more, finishing in York in May.
