Music | Album out 19 February 2027
Everything But The Girl, Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, have announced their eleventh studio album, Blue Reservoir, plus more London shows. Here are five things to know.
1. A return to their roots
After the electronic sound of 2023’s comeback album Fuse, which reached number 3, Blue Reservoir leans into guitar and voice. Ben Watt bought a Spanish nylon-string guitar in January 2026 and found what he calls a voice he thought he’d lost, writing nine of the ten songs on it.
2. Inspired by their MOTH Club residency
The album grew out of their unexpected return to live performance in 2025, with a long-running sold-out residency at Hackney’s tiny 300-capacity MOTH Club, now 30 full houses and counting.
3. Recorded live in London
The ten songs were recorded largely live at RAK Studios over ten days in July 2026, with percussion from Fabio de Oliveira, son of Bosco de Oliveira who played on their 1984 debut Eden. Their son Blake Watt guests on two tracks.
4. Listen to Young and Dumb now
The first single, “Young and Dumb”, and its video are out now. Watch it below:
5. New London dates
Billed as Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn, the pair have sold out Union Chapel (29 and 30 November) and MOTH Club (13 to 15 December). New 2027 dates at Union Chapel on 21 and 22 May went on sale on 30 October, alongside their first ever regional shows in Bristol and Manchester.
