Christmas 2026 | Park Theatre, Finsbury Park
Park Theatre has two very different Christmas treats this year: a witty return to Jane Austen’s world and a madcap romp through Dickens’ lesser-known festive tales. Here are five reasons to book.
1. Pride and Prejudice from Mary’s point of view
In Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, the Bennet family reunites for Christmas. Elizabeth and Jane have found their happy endings, but Mary, the overlooked sister, is still stuck in the role everyone wrote for her, until Lord Arthur de Bourgh arrives with the promise of a different future.
2. A US hit, now in the UK
Written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, the play arrives for its UK premiere after a sell-out run in Chicago. It reunites the team behind last year’s Christmas hit Dracapella and is directed by Sarah Meadows.
3. A strong cast
Chloe Wade (Emmerdale) plays Mary, with Jack Michael Stacey (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Poldark) as Mr Darcy, Nadi Kemp-Sayfi as Elizabeth, and Yasmine Meaden (The Crown) as Anne de Bourgh.
4. A Dickens of a Christmas
In the studio, award-winning company Maybe You Like It presents the world premiere of A Dickens of a Christmas, a madcap adaptation of Dickens’ lesser-known festive stories. Expect goblins in church towers, a professor bargaining with a ghost and unearthly children haunting London, all with frenetic multi-roling and fast-paced laughs.
5. Two shows under one roof
Park Theatre has had 10 West End transfers and multiple awards, so it’s a reliable choice for a festive night out. With two shows running side by side, there’s something for both Austen and Dickens fans.
