Looking for a proper scare this Halloween? No Escape is running a special Halloween programme across its nine horror-themed escape rooms in four London venues, with live actors bringing the darkest characters terrifyingly close. Here are five to try.
1. The Gates of Hell, Victoria
Housed inside No Escape’s gothic Purgatory Bar, this infernal escape room pairs perfectly with theatrical cocktails, so you can make a whole night of it.
2. The Dentist, Oxford Street
No Escape’s very first room, opened in 2018. What starts as a routine appointment leads into a seriously disturbing surgery. Nearby, The Demon Barber draws on the bloody world of Sweeney Todd.
3. The Haunted Toy Store, Aldgate
Aldgate has four rooms to choose from, including this unnerving world of haunted toys, plus The Butcher, The Orphanage and The Witch’s Curse.
4. The Killer, Holloway
Get trapped inside a revenge plot, or, if horror isn’t your thing, try The Darkest Hour, where you play MI6 agents racing to stop a Cold War nuclear catastrophe.
5. Award-winning and seen on The Apprentice
Every room gives teams 60 minutes to escape. No Escape has more than 3,000 five-star reviews, has been a Time Out Critics’ Choice, and appeared on BBC One’s The Apprentice. It’s great for friends, couples and work groups.
