5 Reasons to See A Composition, JW Anderson’s Free Frieze Week Exhibition in Pimlico

London Art | 15 – 20 October 2026

One of the more unexpected stops on the Frieze week trail: JW Anderson and The Platinum Card by American Express are presenting A Composition, a free exhibition at JW Anderson’s flagship store in Pimlico. Here are five reasons to go.

1. New works by Cerith Wyn Evans

The show includes new pieces by Cerith Wyn Evans, the Welsh artist known for his luminous neon and light installations. He also features in Tate Britain’s current 90s exhibition, so it’s a good week to see his work.

2. Inside Jonathan Anderson’s creative world

The exhibition brings together artists, designers and makers who are long-standing collaborators of the designer, offering a glimpse into the influences behind one of fashion’s most exciting labels.

3. Ceramics, paintings and sculpture

Look out for ceramics by Akiko Hirai, paintings by Mary Stephenson and sculptures by Shawanda Corbett, a mix of craft and fine art that reflects Anderson’s love of the handmade.

4. It’s free

Unlike the main Frieze fairs, A Composition is free to visit and open to the public, which makes it an easy addition to an art-filled week in London.

5. Only six days

The exhibition runs for just six days during Frieze London, from Thursday 15 to Tuesday 20 October, so don’t leave it too late.
