Comedy | UK tour, 31 March – 15 April 2027
The “Clown in a Gown” is back, and meaner than ever. Drag comedy icon Bianca Del Rio is bringing her seventh solo stand-up show, It Gets Bitter, to the UK and Ireland next spring, including The London Palladium. Here are five things to know.
1. Thirty years in drag
The tour celebrates three decades of drag, or, as Bianca puts it, three decades of hating everything you stand for. She says the old saying is “it gets better”, but after 30 years in drag, she’s proof that it gets bitter.
2. The Joan Rivers of drag
Bianca won season six of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and The New York Times has called her the “Joan Rivers of the Drag World”. Expect razor-sharp insult comedy about pop culture, world events and the absurdities of modern life.
3. Choose your seat carefully
The show mixes tightly written stand-up with lightning-fast audience interaction, and the front row is described as a firing squad. If you’re easily offended, sit further back.
4. A West End and Traitors star
Bianca made her West End debut in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, has starred in the Hurricane Bianca films, and will appear in season 6 of The Traitors US.
5. One London night
The London show is at The London Palladium on Tuesday 13 April 2027. The 13-date tour also visits Brighton Dome (31 March), Southend’s Cliffs Pavilion (5 April), Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 9 October.
