5 Reasons to See Tom Fletcher’s There’s a Monster in Your Show at Woolwich Works This Half Term

London Family | Saturday 24 October 2026

Looking for a little one’s first trip to the theatre? Tom Fletcher’s There’s a Monster in Your Show is back by popular demand on its sixth UK tour, with two shows at Woolwich Works on the first Saturday of half term. Here are five reasons to book.

1. Based on a much-loved book series

The show is based on McFly star Tom Fletcher’s bestselling “Who’s in Your Book?” series. Little Monster wants to join in the fun, and he invites his friends Dragon, Alien and Unicorn too, creating comedy and chaos while learning about the joy of books and friendship.

2. Made for toddlers

Mother & Baby Magazine called it the perfect toddler theatre show. At 50 minutes, it’s just the right length for little attention spans, and it’s designed to make taking young children to the theatre feel easy rather than daunting.

3. Kids are encouraged to make noise

It’s completely interactive. As Tom Fletcher puts it, children are encouraged to shout, sing, clap and dance their hearts out, so there’s no need to worry about keeping them quiet.

4. Catchy new songs and brilliant puppets

The music is by Tom Fletcher and Barrie Bignold, with puppets by Keith Frederick (Twirlywoos). It comes from MEI Theatrical, the team behind The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Sarah & Duck.

5. A proven hit with families

More than 115,000 children and their families have seen it at over 120 UK venues, and it’s toured as far as Dubai and Singapore. There are only two London shows, so book early.
