5 Reasons to Listen to Finn Forster’s New Single, Blame It On You, Ahead of His London Show

Music | London show Sunday 11 October 2026

Teesside-born singer-songwriter Finn Forster is back with a rousing new single, Blame It On You, and this month he’s on tour with New York rock artist Des Rocs, including a London date at The Garage. Here are five reasons to listen.

1. A break-up song to play loud

Blame It On You follows the breakdown of one of Finn’s own relationships, moving through blame and accountability. But it isn’t a traditional sad break-up song. In his words, it’s cool, hooky and anthemic, and meant to be played loud, with his signature raw, soulful vocals front and centre.

2. Radio 1 is a fan

His previous single, “Strangers”, got its first play from Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 and was named Track of the Week by BBC Radio 1 Introducing, with support from Radio 2 and Radio X too. Watch it below:

3. Big-stage experience

Finn has supported Stereophonics on their stadium and arena tours, Bastille at the Motorpoint Arena and JADE at the BBC Proms, and played festivals including TRNSMT, Boardmasters, Isle of Wight and Reading & Leeds.

4. A real underdog story

Born and raised in a small industrial town in Teesside, where music opportunities are few, Finn won the PPL Momentum Fund and was named a Tees Valley Artist of the Year. His last headline tour almost completely sold out, including a London show at Colours in Hoxton.

5. Catch him at The Garage on 11 October

Supporting Des Rocs, Finn plays Manchester’s Gorilla on 10 October and The Garage in Highbury on Sunday 11 October, before heading to Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, Cologne, Paris and Milan. It’s a great chance to see a rising star in a small venue.
