On Sunday 11 October, Rajen Patel of The Homies Kitchen is taking over the rooftop at The Broadcaster in White City for a one-day-only feast. It brings Indian flavours and live-fire cooking together, with unlimited food for just £39 per person.

1. It’s all you can eat
For £39 per person, you can order unlimited servings from Rajen’s menu across the afternoon. That’s excellent value for a menu this ambitious, and it means you can try a bit of everything, then go back for more of your favourites. Just make sure you arrive hungry.
2. Not your usual BBQ
Rather than a traditional barbecue, everything draws on Indian flavours and spices and is centred around the grill. Expect Tandoori Rack of Lamb with herb chutney, Smoked Herb-Fed Chicken with spiked ghee sauce, Smoked Hanger Steak with Mishkaki masala dust, Hariyali Paneer skewers, and Chargrilled Seabass with guajillo and burnt lemon. There’s plenty for vegetarians too.
3. Brilliant sides and a showstopping dessert
The sides are just as tempting: fire flatbread with garlic ghee, Bombay Potatoes, Bhutta Corn with avocado cream and chilli-lime salt, and a Watermelon and Pit-Roasted Beet Salad with whipped ricotta and chaat masala. For dessert, there’s Plantain and Burnt Pineapple soaked in tres leches and topped with smoked almonds.
4. Rum cocktails with a view
The rooftop overlooks the West London skyline and the famous former BBC Television Centre. Pair your food with a cocktail menu created with Windrush 1027 Rum, including Spiced Mojitos, Strawberry Daiquiris, Mai Tais, Dark and Stormys and Rum Old Fashioneds, all at £13.50.
5. The last takeover of the season
This is the final takeover in The Broadcaster’s rooftop BBQ series, so it’s your last chance this year. It runs from 12pm to 5pm, making it a perfect long Sunday lunch with friends. The Broadcaster sits right opposite Wood Lane station, so it’s easy to reach.
