This Thursday, Andrew Fisher, frontman of British alternative rock band Basement, plays a one-off intimate solo show at Hoxton Hall in London. It’s a rare chance to hear some of the band’s best-loved songs stripped back like never before.

1. A one-off, stripped-back show
This is a single solo performance, not part of a tour. Hoxton Hall is a beautiful Victorian music hall in east London, which makes it the perfect setting for an intimate night like this.
2. Basement are riding high
In May the band released WIRED, their first album in over eight years. It became their highest-charting record, reaching number 16 in the Official Albums Chart and giving them their first number one in the Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
3. Critics love the new album
Reviews have been glowing. Kerrang! said the album gets better with every listen, and Rolling Stone UK said it shows why Basement are a beloved mainstay of the UK rock and emo scene. It was produced by John Congleton, who has worked with Death Cab for Cutie and Angel Olsen.
4. A new generation of fans
Basement’s 2012 song “Covet” went viral on TikTok and was certified Gold in 2024, twelve years after it came out. That introduced the band to a whole new audience, so expect a crowd of longtime fans and newcomers alike.
5. A taste of what’s coming
The full band returns in February 2027 for a UK and European tour, including a headline show at London’s Roundhouse on Thursday 18 February. Other UK dates include Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Norwich, Manchester and Belfast.
