Fancy learning to make fresh pasta like an Italian? ALFI, the independent Italian restaurant and wine bar in Spitalfields Market, launched hands-on pasta workshops this October. They’ve proved so popular that new dates have been added through November and December.
Here are five reasons to book.
1. Make pasta from scratch
With expert guidance, you’ll learn to make fresh pasta by hand. It’s a fun, relaxed class for beginners and keen home cooks alike, and you’ll leave with skills you can use in your own kitchen.
2. A new shape every time
Each workshop focuses on different Italian pasta shapes and regions, so it’s worth coming back. The Pasta Passport gets you all five October classes for £200.
3. Celebrate National Pasta Day
There’s a special session on National Pasta Day itself, Saturday 17 October, from 3pm to 5pm. What better way to mark the day?
4. Prosecco included
Every class comes with a glass of Prosecco. ALFI sits under the canopy of Spitalfields Market, with an open kitchen, a pizza oven and a big selection of natural Italian wines, so it’s easy to stay on for dinner afterwards.
5. A great Christmas gift or group outing
With dates running into December, a pasta class makes a lovely experience gift, date or festive team social. At £48 per person, it’s good value for a hands-on afternoon out.
