Planning a big adventure for next year? Ramble Worldwide, the original walking holiday specialist, has launched eight new long-haul guided walking holidays across North and South America, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia, with departures throughout 2027. Here are five of the highlights.
1. California Dreaming, 14 nights from £6,499
This is Ramble’s first-ever California tour. Guided walks take in the dramatic canyons of Yosemite, the rolling vineyards of Sonoma and the famous landmarks of San Francisco. It’s graded 4 (moderate), with departures in April and October 2027.
2. Autumn Colours of Eastern Canada, 13 nights from £5,299
A leaf-peeper’s dream. Walk through woodland, lakeshores and wilderness as the trees turn red, gold and orange, and explore the historic cities of Montreal and Quebec City. It’s graded 4 (moderate), with departures throughout September 2027.
3. Beautiful Barbados, 10 nights from £3,749
The most affordable of the new tours shows a different side of Barbados. Gentle walks lead through scenic countryside, along white-sand coastline and past historic plantations. It’s graded 3 (leisurely), with departures in January and June 2027.
4. Journey Through the Andes, 18 nights from £8,899
Lakes, Mountains and Glaciers spans Argentina and Chile, with glacial lakes, towering peaks and dramatic Patagonian scenery, plus the wine regions around Mendoza and Santiago. It’s graded 3 (leisurely), with departures in February and September 2027.
5. Vietnam and Cambodia: Trail and Temples, 16 nights from £4,399
Explore the magnificent temples of Angkor, trek through the forests of Phnom Kulen, wander historic Hoi An and hike the rice terraces of Pu Luong. It’s graded 4 (moderate), with departures in April and October 2027.
