You don’t have to head into the West End or the South Bank for world-class jazz this autumn. Fulham Pier, the riverside venue in south-west London, is becoming one of the area’s most exciting places for live music, and this November it becomes a stage for the EFG London Jazz Festival, which runs across the capital from 13 to 22 November 2026.
Here are five reasons to get tickets.
1. Festival-quality jazz, closer to home
The EFG London Jazz Festival is the highlight of the capital’s jazz calendar, bringing global stars and homegrown talent together for ten days of live music. By hosting festival shows, Fulham Pier brings that calibre of performer out of London’s traditional cultural hubs and right to south-west London audiences, with the Thames as a backdrop.
2. Steel pan virtuoso Leon Foster Thomas (13 November)
The festival’s opening night brings Leon Foster Thomas to the Pier. A true virtuoso of the steel pan, he takes an instrument most people associate with carnival and shows just how rich, fluid and expressive it can be in a jazz setting. If you have never heard steel pan jazz live, this is the night to try it.
3. Jazz FM Vocalist of the Year Judi Jackson (14 November)
The following night, Judi Jackson takes the stage. The London-based, Virginia-born singer-songwriter is known for a powerful blend of jazz and neo-soul, and she has picked up glowing reviews along with her Jazz FM Vocalist of the Year title. Expect a big voice in an intimate riverside setting.
4. Great jazz here all year round
The festival isn’t a one-off. Fulham Pier is one of the few venues in the area with a regular, curated jazz programme, including its popular Jazz Box series. It spotlights acclaimed names and emerging artists alike, so if you enjoy the festival nights, there will be more to come long after November.
5. Make a night of it by the river
Fulham Pier is more than a music venue. Alongside the gigs, it is home to the Constance & Flo bar and restaurant, a riverside market, a hotel and a spa, so you can easily turn a concert into a full evening out beside the Thames.
