Live actors, theatrical cocktails and nine horror-led escape rooms are coming to four London venues this Halloween. No Escape’s spine-chilling lineup runs from 23rd October to 1st November 2026, with tickets going on sale 5th October. Here are five things you need to know.
1. Nine Rooms, Four Venues, Endless Nightmares
No Escape’s Halloween takeover spans Victoria, Oxford Street, Aldgate and Holloway, each offering its own distinct horror storylines:
- Victoria: The Gates of Hell at Purgatory Bar
- Oxford Street: The Dentist and The Demon Barber
- Aldgate: The Haunted Toy Store, The Butcher, The Orphanage and The Witch’s Curse
- Holloway: The Killer and The Darkest Hour
From haunted toys and murderous dentists to demonic forces and a Cold War nuclear threat, there’s a fright to suit every kind of horror fan.
2. Live Actors Bring the Terror Even Closer This Year
Especially for Halloween, each venue will feature live actors, bringing its darkest characters out of the shadows and terrifyingly close to players. Whether it’s a sinister barber at Oxford Street or a supernatural presence at Aldgate’s Witch’s Curse, expect the unexpected around every corner.
3. Victoria’s Gates of Hell Comes with Theatrical Cocktails
At Victoria, The Gates of Hell is housed inside No Escape’s Purgatory Bar, combining an infernal escape-room story with theatrical cocktails and gothic interiors — making it as much a themed night out as it is a puzzle challenge. Co-founder Darrell Johnston says the combination of cocktails, story and live performance “creates a whole evening around the experience.”
4. You’ve Got 60 Minutes to Escape — If You Can
Every experience gives teams 60 minutes to search their surroundings, decipher clues and complete their mission. But Halloween ups the stakes: as Johnston puts it, all nine rooms are designed to make solving the puzzle considerably harder once the lights fall, the clock begins counting down, and the setting starts to work on the imagination.
5. It’s Run by an Award-Winning, Family-Founded Team
No Escape was founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Darrell and Kristina Johnston, opening its first room, The Dentist, on Oxford Street in January 2018. Since then, more than 50,000 players have taken on its rooms, racking up over 3,000 five-star reviews across TripAdvisor, Google and Facebook. The company’s accolades include a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice award, Time Out London’s Critics’ Choice, the Evening Standard’s Best Immersive Games and Worldwide Bullseye Awards for Best Horror and Best Design — and it even featured on BBC One’s The Apprentice.
