Patti LuPone is returning to London in 2027 for two nights only at the London Coliseum. The Broadway and West End star will perform her acclaimed concert show Matters of the Heart on 14 and 15 February, bringing more than two dozen songs about love, heartbreak and everything in between to St Martin’s Lane.

Matters of the Heart explores love in all its complicated forms, with LuPone performing more than two dozen songs about romance, desire, heartbreak, affairs and the mysteries of the heart.
The programme moves between Broadway favourites and songs by contemporary writers, making it much more than a straightforward musical theatre concert.
LuPone will be joined by musical director Joseph Thalken and the Four Play String Quartet.
3. The concert has a special connection with London
Matters of the Heart is not a completely new show.
It is based on LuPone’s acclaimed 1999 album of the same name and was first performed in London at the Donmar Warehouse that year.
She later took the show to Broadway and on tour around the world.
More than 25 years later, LuPone has revived Matters of the Heart for a new generation of audiences.
Speaking about the London return, she recalled performing at the Coliseum in 2025 and added: “And it’s Valentine’s Day, Dolls. Will you be my Valentine?”
4. Patti LuPone is one of Broadway’s most celebrated performers
For musical theatre fans, LuPone needs little introduction.
She has won three Tony Awards, including for Evita, Gypsy and Stephen Sondheim’s Company.
Her London stage credits include Les Misérables, Sunset Boulevard, Master Class and Company, while her wider theatre career has included Sweeney Todd, Anything Goes, War Paint and The Roommate.
She has also reached a new audience through television and streaming roles in Agatha All Along, And Just Like That, American Horror Story, Pose, Penny Dreadful, Glee and 30 Rock.
