A new boutique hotel has opened in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Le Perroquet sits between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, offering just 37 rooms, an outdoor pool and a design-led alternative to the city’s larger resorts.
1. It Has Just 37 Rooms
Le Perroquet is deliberately small, with 37 rooms and suites across nine categories, giving it more of a relaxed residential feel than a large resort.
2. The Design Is a Big Part of the Experience
Interiors combine off-white, deep green and terracotta with custom furniture designed by Bernard Dubois. The look takes inspiration from Miami Art Deco and 1980s and 1990s postmodern design.
3. There Is Art Throughout the Hotel
Guests can see original works by artists including Jean Cocteau, Lucio Fontana, Jean Tinguely, Roberto Matta, Giorgio Griffa and Jeff Koons.
4. It Is Close to Fort Lauderdale Beach
The hotel is located on Harbor Drive, within easy reach of the beach as well as Las Olas Boulevard, galleries, cafés and museums.
5. The Extras Keep Things Simple
Guests can expect Sferra linens, Byredo bathroom products, a daily self-service breakfast, beach amenities and a garden pool.
