Five Highlights of Christmas and New Year 2026 at InterContinental Maldives

InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is celebrating Christmas and New Year 2026 with 12 Pearls of the Ocean. Running from 20 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, the programme combines live music, family activities, special dining and ocean adventures.

1. Pixie Lott Will Perform on New Year’s Eve

British singer Pixie Lott will headline the resort’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening also includes an oceanfront cocktail party, gala dinner and midnight drone and fireworks display.

2. Each Pearl Brings a Different Celebration

Highlights include the Christmas tree lighting, Christmas Eve dinner beneath the stars, Santa’s arrival, a champagne yacht cruise, an island market and a moonlit lagoon party.

3. Families Have Their Own Programme

Children and parents can enjoy gingerbread house making, a pirate cruise, kite festival, kids’ fashion show, cooking classes and beach games.

4. Guests Can Explore the Ocean

Marine experiences include manta ray excursions, guided swims with nurse sharks and the opportunity to support the resort’s reef preservation work by adopting a coral line.

5. Art and Wellness Are Part of the Celebration

Marine artist Janavi Kramer will lead creative experiences inspired by underwater life. Visiting wellness practitioner Braj Raj Singh will offer treatments including posture therapy and chakra balancing.
