Ronnie Scott’s is bringing the atmosphere of its famous Soho jazz club to one of London’s grandest hotels, with a series of intimate evenings at The Grill at The Dorchester. Here are five things to know before booking.
1. Ronnie Scott’s is taking over The Grill
These are not performances at the usual Ronnie Scott’s club in Soho. The residency takes place inside The Grill at The Dorchester on Park Lane, turning the restaurant into an intimate jazz venue for the evening.
2. There are four more dates in 2026
The remaining performances are 23 September, 28 October, 25 November and 8 December 2026. Each evening runs from 6.30pm until 10pm.
3. Each night has a different singer
Phebe Edwards performs in September, followed by Natalie Duncan in October, Frances Madden in November and Emma Smith for the final evening in December. It is a good way to experience some excellent contemporary jazz singers without the feel of a huge concert.
4. Dinner is part of the evening
The £175-per-person price includes a three-course dinner alongside the live performance. Drinks and service charge are extra. The series is also being held in partnership with Ruinart champagne.
5. It is one for a special London night out
At £175 it is certainly not a casual midweek gig, but you are getting dinner at The Dorchester alongside a Ronnie Scott’s-curated performance in a much smaller setting. For a birthday, anniversary or simply an excuse for a rather glamorous evening in Mayfair, it is an interesting alternative to the usual dinner-and-show combination.
