The Queen’s Park Book Festival returns to North London on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026 for its ninth and final edition, with authors, historians, broadcasters, chefs, children’s events and comedy across the weekend.
1. Sebastian Barry is one of the headline names
The acclaimed novelist will discuss his latest book, The Newer World, in conversation with Alex Clark.
2. Jacqueline Wilson leads the family programme
The much-loved children’s author will talk about her forthcoming book Esme Pepper. Families can also see author and illustrator Rob Biddulph and Vampire Empire creator Curtis Jobling.
3. There’s a special Bayeux Tapestry event
British Museum curator Michael Lewis will discuss the Bayeux Tapestry ahead of its return to the UK, joined by historian Marc Morris.
4. The programme goes far beyond fiction
Look out for Sathnam Sanghera discussing George Michael, BBC Health Editor Hugh Pym with Dr Saira Hameed, food events with Honey & Co. founders Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, and chef Theo Randall.
5. Some events are completely free
The Queen’s Park Community Tent is free to enter and features talks covering travel, wellbeing, local culture and writing. Saturday evening also brings the festival’s Comedy Night with Dominic Holland, Samantha Day, Rob Deering and MC Rich Wilson.
