Disney’s High School Musical is back on stage for its 20th anniversary, with a new UK production playing Salford before heading to London.
1. It’s coming to Salford and London
The show runs at The Lowry, Salford from 22 August to 19 September 2026, before transferring to Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
2. Jason Donovan and Harry Judd are joining the cast
Jason Donovan plays Coach Bolton at The Lowry, with McFly’s Harry Judd taking over the role for the London run.
3. Troy, Gabriella and Sharpay are back
Tobias Turley stars as Troy Bolton, Leonor Correia as Gabriella Montez and Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay Evans, alongside Luke Bayer as Ryan and Disney favourite KayCee Stroh as Ms Darbus.
4. Expect all the songs you remember
The production features favourites including Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.
5. Tickets start from £26 in Salford
If you grew up with the original Disney Channel film, this could be a fun chance to introduce a new generation to East High.
