Paddington: The Musical bursts onto the West End with irresistible charm and blockbuster polish. This isn’t just a family show — it’s a gloriously feel-good theatrical event.

Paddington himself is a triumph of puppetry and performance, brought to life with such warmth and nuance that the bear feels genuinely present. The production dazzles visually too, with inventive staging, slick design and spectacle packed into every scene.

Tom Fletcher’s songs are bright, catchy and crowd-pleasing, and while Act Two runs a touch long, the emotional rewards pay off. It’s funny, heartfelt and surprisingly moving, with a message of kindness and belonging that lands beautifully.

Families will adore it, nostalgic grown-ups will melt, and anyone with a soft spot for marmalade will leave grinning. A big, generous West End hug of a show — and one of the most joyful new musicals of the season.
