Two of the biggest names in musical theatre — Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler — are coming together for a one-week-only celebration of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years. This special 25th anniversary concert runs from 24–29 March 2026 at the legendary London Palladium. Here’s why you absolutely shouldn’t miss it.

1) A West End Dream Team
Ben Platt (Tony, Grammy and Emmy winner for Dear Evan Hansen and Parade) joins forces with Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, The Hunger Games, Evita). It’s a pairing that musical fans could only dream of — two powerhouse vocalists with incredible emotional range, performing one of the most intimate and affecting musicals ever written.
2) Jason Robert Brown Returns to Conduct His Masterpiece
To mark the show’s 25th anniversary, the composer himself, Jason Robert Brown, will return to the West End to direct and conduct. Known for his intricate harmonies and heart-wrenching storytelling, Brown’s hands-on involvement ensures this version of The Last Five Years will be as authentic — and moving — as it gets.
3) A Limited, One-Week Engagement
This is no long-running residency — the concert runs for just six performances, from Tuesday 24 to Sunday 29 March 2026. With such a limited engagement, it’s set to become one of the most sought-after tickets of the year for musical theatre lovers.
- 24–28 March: 7:30pm
- 29 March: 6:00pm
- Matinee 28 March: 2:30pm
Venue: The London Palladium, 8 Argyll St, London W1F 7TF
4) A Fresh, Electrifying Concert Staging
Forget traditional revivals — this new concert staging promises to be raw, intimate and electrifying. With Platt, Zegler and Brown on stage together, the chemistry and emotional connection will take this beloved two-hander to another level. It’s a rare chance to see the story of love and heartbreak performed live by two of the most expressive performers of their generation.
5) A Celebration of Legacy and Love
The Last Five Years is a modern musical classic, tracing a relationship from both ends — his moving forward in time, hers moving backward. Its songs have become staples for performers and fans alike. This anniversary celebration isn’t just a concert — it’s a tribute to 25 years of a show that has touched audiences worldwide.
