5 things to do at the Half Term Harvest, St Katharine Docks

Looking for an autumn day out that’s cosy, creative and ridiculously photogenic? St Katharine Docks is turning its historic Coronarium into a pumpkin paradise for Half Term — open Monday 27 October to Saturday 1 November, 11:00–17:00. Here are five quick wins to make the most of it.

1) Pick your perfect pumpkin

Wander the marina-side display and choose from heaps of shapes, sizes and colours. It’s as much a photo spot as it is a market — and yes, you can take your beauties home. Find the location and plan your visit via St Katharine Docks – Visit.

2) Carve with a view

Head upstairs to the Coronarium’s top deck, where carving stations (and specialist tools) await. Whether you’re going spooky or sweet, you’ll be cutting creations with panoramic marina views as your backdrop.

3) Warm up with autumn sips

There’s a pop-up cart on site all week serving the cosy stuff: steaming hot chocolates, pumpkin spice lattes and seasonal treats. Perfect hand warmers while you browse and carve.

4) Soak up the dockside magic

Twinkling lights, autumn foliage and the gentle sounds of London’s largest central marina — it’s a surprisingly tranquil pocket right by Tower Hill. After carving, take a slow stroll along the water or grab a bite at the waterside restaurants.

5) Make it a family afternoon

Everything’s set up for all ages, from first-time carvers to mini Michelangelos. The relaxed vibe + plenty of space means low faff, high fun, and easy memories.
