Boots Presents Glide at Battersea Power Station returns this winter with London’s first riverside skate trail. From 7 November 2025 until 4 January 2026, visitors can enjoy a festive skating experience set against the Grade II* listed Power Station, with sweeping views of the River Thames and the London skyline. Here are five reasons to book your tickets for this must-visit London Christmas ice rink.

1. Glide at Battersea Ice Rink with Riverside Skate Trail
Glide is the only riverside ice rink in London, and for 2025 it introduces the city’s first ever riverside skate trail. Alongside three interconnecting ice rinks, the trail gives skaters of all levels the chance to enjoy more space and stunning views as they glide under the lights.
2. Christmas Atmosphere with Tree and Decorations
A 30ft Christmas tree forms the centrepiece of Glide at Battersea. Surrounded by twinkling lights and festive décor, it creates the perfect backdrop whether you are skating on a romantic date, having fun with friends, or helping children enjoy the ice with penguin skate aids.

3. Après-Skate at The Glass House Bar
After skating, relax in The Glass House, Glide’s transparent bar with panoramic views of Battersea Power Station. Guests can enjoy Chocomel hot chocolate, festive cocktails, Roebuck Estates sparkling wine, Prime Time low-calorie beers and Made of Dough pizza. Live entertainment including KISS DJ sets and acoustic music adds to the après-skate atmosphere.
4. More Than Just Skating: Igloos, Fairground and Games
Glide at Battersea is a full festive destination. Cosy igloos by Air Canada provide private spaces to warm up, while fairground attractions such as the helter skelter, carousel and tin can alley add extra fun. New for 2025 are darts and curling, making this one of the best Christmas activities in London.
5. Shopping, Dining and Skyline Views at Battersea Power Station
A day at Glide is just the start. Battersea Power Station is home to over 150 shops and restaurants, from big names like Jo Malone London, LEGO and Space NK to eateries including Dishoom, Roti King and Bread Street Kitchen. For a spectacular finale, take the Chimney Lift Experience and enjoy 360-degree views of London’s twinkling Christmas skyline.
Glide at Battersea Power Station runs from 7 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. Tickets start from £17 for adults and £10.50 for children (plus booking fees). Book your session now at glidebatterseapowerstation.co.uk.
