5 Things to Know About Jessica Aszkenasy’s Bold New Comedy TITCLOWN

The Edinburgh Fringe has long been a home for boundary-pushing, genre-defying performances – and this year, Jessica Aszkenasy is adding her name to that legacy with TITCLOWN, a raw, mischievous solo clown show that’s already turning heads. Here are five things to know before you grab a ticket:

1. It’s Not Just Funny – It’s Fierce

Yes, you’ll laugh. A lot. But TITCLOWN isn’t just a comedy – it’s a pointed interrogation of art, power, gender, and the absurdity of performance itself. Jessica’s fictional alter ego dissects the very act of creating theatre while making the audience part of the show, blending deadpan wit with provocative commentary.

2. The Costume Is the Message

Wearing a Baywatch-style swimsuit, heels, and eventually going topless, Jessica uses hyper-femininity as a weapon of critique. Her glamorous, absurd appearance deliberately mocks the performance of femininity, rejecting flirtation in favour of irony and control. She looks fantastic – but you’ll be too busy thinking to ogle.

3. There’s Live Painting – With Her Breasts

In one of the show’s most talked-about moments, Jessica paints live on stage using her breasts as brushes. It’s not erotic – it’s a brilliantly bizarre act that straddles reverence and ridicule, mocking expectations while asking serious questions about the role of the female body in art and performance.

4. Her OnlyFans Helped Fund the Art

Struggling to stay afloat during clown school in Paris, Jessica launched an OnlyFans – and made over £2,000 in her first month. The raw, unfiltered content she created on the platform (think no makeup, tummy rolls on show) fed directly into TITCLOWN’s themes of bodily autonomy, financial independence, and the unexpected overlaps between survival and self-expression.

5. It’s Born from a ‘Feminine-First’ Worldview

Raised in a household where femininity was the default, Jessica uses that lens to challenge assumptions throughout the show. TITCLOWN is steeped in questions of misogyny, power, and the uncomfortable – yet empowering – space where vulnerability meets command.
