On Saturday, 29th June 2024, CORD, the first fine dining restaurant by the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu, will take over Bustronome, London’s premier gourmet sightseeing bus. This exclusive one-day event promises a unique combination of fine dining and panoramic views of the city’s iconic landmarks.
2. The Bustronome: A Gourmet Sightseeing Bus
Bustronome is a luxury double-decker bus transformed into a fine-dining restaurant. For this event, it will be adorned with CORD’s striking navy branding. Guests will embark from Bloomsbury Square and travel through the heart of London, enjoying views of the city’s landmarks, the Le Cordon Bleu Bloomsbury campus, and CORD’s restaurant on Fleet Street.
3. Exquisite Menus by Chef Karl O’Dell
CORD’s Executive Chef Karl O’Dell has crafted a special four-course lunch menu and a six-course dinner menu featuring seasonal signature dishes. Highlights include Scallop Ceviche with green mango, Rhug Estate Rack of Lamb with wild garlic yoghurt, and the indulgent Black Forest dessert. Each menu is designed to offer a memorable culinary journey.
4. Perfectly Paired Beverages
To complement the exquisite dishes, CORD’s sommelier Jiachen Lu has selected a range of wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Jiachen will be present during the event to provide personal recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience.
5. Part of Le Cordon Bleu’s Summer Festival
This special pop-up is part of Le Cordon Bleu’s annual Summer Festival, celebrating the art of gastronomy at the institute’s Bloomsbury campus. The lunch service starts at 12.15pm and the dinner service at 7.15pm. Prices are £89 per person for the lunch (£109 with wine pairings) and £149 per person for the dinner (£179 with wine pairings). Reservations are limited and must be booked in advance.
