The Aurora Orchestra announces its dynamic 2024 season, featuring an array of inspiring performances and unique collaborations that appeal to audiences of all ages. The season highlights include:

- Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 โEroicaโ: Aurora tours this masterpiece from memory, with performances in London and across East Anglia, offering a fresh perspective on Beethovenโs revolutionary work.
- Allan Clayton and Winterreise: Allan Clayton joins the orchestra for Hans Zender’s reimagined version of Schubert’s Winterreise. This production, with its orchestral storytelling, showcases an array of instruments including wind machines and percussion.
- Kings Place Residency: The residency aligns with the Scotland Unwrapped series, featuring four concerts that celebrate Scottish music, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Scotland.
- Family Programs: These include the storytelling performance “The Wolf, the Duck, and the Mouse,” and the new children’s show “Mendelssohn and the Moving Machines,” inspired by the music of Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel. These shows aim to bring classical music to life for younger audiences.
- Fundraising Campaign: The orchestra launches a campaign for the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise funds for its new children’s show, enhancing its commitment to educational and engaging performances for children.
- Diverse Concerts and Collaborations: The season features a range of performances, from traditional Scottish music to contemporary pieces, showcasing the versatility and breadth of the orchestra’s repertoire and collaborations.
