Now that the Christmas and New Year TV specials are all out of the way, it’s time to look ahead to which of your favorite series are making a come-back in 2019. Today it’s never quite as easy as knowing that your favorite TV show will be running for ten series, it could be cut after the first season or when you’re fully invested, ready and excited and then you find out it’s not coming back for a sixth season…but luckily there’s so much TV out there now, you can always find something else you’d like. If you’ve not got stuck into any of these yet, then get started now as there’s a new series coming this year:

The Crown Season 3

The series is about to move into a whole new era, bringing with it an entire new cast for a glimpse at royal life in the 1970s.

Black Mirror Season 5

If you chose your own adventure with Bandersnatch this winter, then there’s more to come with a whole new season of Black Mirror this year.

13 Reasons Why Season 3

While this was a good enough series as one standalone season, the fans keep wanting more. The teen suicide drama explores many hard-hitting issues…so it’s not just teens who love it. If you haven’t watched this yet then there’s plenty of time to fit two seasons in before the new one arrives.

The Blacklist Season 6

If you like a Police drama, then this one’s for you, and there are five whole seasons to binge on as well. The Blacklist employs a formula of bringing unpredictable twists and exciting new villains to viewers each week so you’ll never get bored.

Mindhunter Season 2

If you like a tv series like the blacklist, then check out Mindhunter. Only starting its second series this year, the show is set in the late 1970s and follows two FBI agents who are tasked with interviewing serial killers to solve open cases.

Stranger Things Series 3

It’s coming back! You have to wait until 4th July, but you can check out this new teaser in the form of a video advertising that a new Starcourt Mall is heading to Hawkins, Indiana. Exciting times!

Big Little Lies Season 2

Based on a book of the same name by Liane Moriarty, there was never actually published a sequel to the book. However, Moriarty did write a new story which is what season 2 will be based on.

Homeland Season 8

It has been confirmed that it will be the last series and while loose ends will be tied up, it promises no less drama or thrills.

Game of Thrones Season 8

Another final series, this one will begin on 14th April 2019. There will be six episodes, and you can check out the new trailer here.

So, grab some snacks and get on your sofa because it doesn’t look like you’ll be moving for a while.
